Analysing Opening Scenes - 'The Dark Knight'

The final opening sequence I am going to look at is from Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight', which belongs to the superhero genre.

The scene contains the following conventions commonly found in opening sequences: 

• Production company logos/idents 
• Introduces one of the main characters (the antagonist)
• Introduces setting
• Creates enigma/mystery
• Reflects the genre through iconography and music
