Analysing Opening Scenes - 'Passengers'

The next opening scene I will be looking at is from 'Passengers', a science fiction film starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt.

The scene contains the following conventions commonly found in opening sequences: 

• Production company logos/idents 
• Titles - including cast and crew, names of production companies, the title of the film
• Introduces the setting
• Creates enigma and mystery 
• Reflects the genre through iconography
