Analysing Opening Scenes - Conclusion

In my research of film opening sequences I have found that there are multiple recurring conventions and that the majority of these appear regardless of the genre the film belongs to. 

Below are some of the conventions I found in almost all of the opening scenes I looked at, the majority of which I will aim to include within my opening sequence.

The introduction of characters

The introduction of settings

Titles (cast and crew, including director)

 Titles (film title)

Creating enigma

Production company logo/ident

Indication of genre
